As the properties of a product are changed, the way in which the athlete interacts with the product could also change, for example their biomechanics, resulting in different performance outcomes. If this interaction can be understood, then it should be possible to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Predict how a particular athlete will perform\nwith a given product and its associated properties<\/li><li>Determine optimum product properties for a\nparticular athlete<\/li><li>Identify how sensitive performance outcomes are\nto changes in product properties<\/li><li>Establish acceptable ranges for product\nproperties<\/li><li>Design a customised product to meet specific\nrequirements for an individual athlete<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Jon&#8217;s research has studied the way in which an athlete adapts to changes in equipment properties through <a href=\"https:\/\/jonroberts.info\/?page_id=339\">measurement of athlete biomechanics<\/a>.
